SUMMARY:

Underthe direction of the Director, Channel Development (DCD), the ChanelDevelopment Coordinator (CDC) is responsible for calling on and presenting toNew Dealer Prospects as determined by the Territory Sales Manager and theRegional Sales Director. This person will manage activities, manage theprospect database and execute to the plan as determined by the DCD.The CDC has overall responsibility for theachievement of set region new dealer objectives relevant to the Consumer Business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet objectives with regards to newaccounts called upon/signed.

  • Identify new dealer prospects throughthe use of virtual tools (Genesystech, internet, etc.) and conduct dealerevaluations and scorecards for presentation to the appropriate Territory SalesManager.

  • Prepare specific E-Z-GO/Bad BoyBuggies New Dealer Presentations based on prospect needs.

  • Complete regional activity report on amonthly basis via MMR.

  • Attend regional dealer recruitmentshows and or exposition’s relevant to the Consumer Business.

  • Ensure product knowledge and trainingskills are qualified to successfully promote the products to recruit new dealerprospects.

  • Perform regional competitive prospectanalysis to support sales planning.

  • Provide competitive intelligence toDirector, Channel Development on product trends, competitive programs and othermarket intelligence to support new dealer recruitment efforts.

  • Perform distribution gap analysis tosupport regional dealer development actions/planning.

  • Develop and implement plans andstrategies to cultivate new business opportunities.

  • Manage the New Dealer Process; fromcultivation of the lead to signing and on-boarding of new dealers.

  • Manage dealer database through the useof Salesforce.com.

  • Collaborate with internal departmentsin the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and businessmodels.

  • Perform special projects as assignedby the Director, Channel Development.

  • Perform all duties in accordance withthe Textron Business Conduct Guidelines.

Qualifications

CAPABILITYREQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Must be capable of interfacing effectively with the other functional areas of the Company (i.e., Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing and Engineering).

  • Must possess solid leadership ability and strong verbal and written skills.

  • Must be able to establish strong relationships with existing and potential new customers.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills required.

  • Ability to multi-task and deal with tight timelines.

EDUCATION:

Associate's degree fromtwo-year college or technical school; and one to three years related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Highschool education will be considered with a minimum of 3-7 years of relatedexperience.
