Individual will be assigned Manufacturing Engineering (ME) responsibilities for new product integration (NPI) with a concentration in Assembly/Fabrication operations. Engineer will focus on coordinating and working with the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) and Design engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and successful implementation of new products.


  • Work with the New Product and Design Engineering teams from project concept/approval to down-the-line (DTL) to ensure a smooth and timely introduction into production.

  • NPI Assembly ME will have primary ME responsibility for Beta and Gamma phases, and will also provide necessary support for the Alpha and Pilot/DTL phase of the NPI process.

  • May share the responsibility with the production line ME (at discretion of ME Manager) for the processing and implementation of Engineering Change Notices for new products into the production system. Reviews ECN’s prior to their release to ensure that the design is producible as drawn, that methods are defined via routing, time standards, process plans, detailed work plans and tool orders are defined to permit production in an efficient, safe, and cost effective manner while maintaining the highest quality standards. Coordinates material and tooling availability with TSV Tool & Die, Strategic Sourcing and Materials teams until the change is implemented into production.

  • Develop and implement efficient and safe work methods, Lean material process flows, proper time standards, and the acquisition of equipment and tooling for new products to ensure maximum efficiency of the production process. Further responsible for ensuring that expenditures do not exceed approved project costs, and that projects are completed in a timely manner.

  • Evaluate production processes to implement new products productively and investigate new methods of enhancing the product. Initiate management and operations lean training to utilize those proper methods. Initiate investigations for possible alternate equipment to facilitate work needs.

  • Develop justification on new equipment based on monetary savings, capacity, future expansion/ products and safety. Directly responsible for initiation, development, and implementation of projects. Develop, plan, and coordinate the implementation of assembly line layouts for implementing new material flow, increased plant capacity, placement of new equipment, optimizing existing line capacities, new production processes and scheduled plant expansion(s).

  • Provide training and written instructions/standard work related to new products to manufacturing personnel for critical processes, as required, in order to develop and/or maintain process capability.



  • 4 years related manufacturing engineering experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in an assembly environment.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, as well as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public thru use of PowerPoint software or other means.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Must be able to read part and assembly blueprints and be proficient in GD&T.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Computer Aided Drafting

  • equipment requirements, quality concerns, and costs estimates, is required.

  • SAP experience preferred.

  • Ability to perform make vs. buy analysis of materials and processes is preferred.


Bachelor's degree, preferably BSME, BSIE, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology
