SUMMARY:

Developand lead operations area to drive organization to excellence in safety,quality, delivery, cost, training,

andemployee welfare/morale for Warehousing and Distribution. Responsibilitiesinclude coordinating, directing and

managingsome aspects of the aftermarket distribution facility as well as effectivesupervision, coaching, and motivation of staff.This is accomplished by establishing the technical requirements,assessing internal capabilities, guiding process improvement and measuringprogress against goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsiblefor management of material operations including material replenishment,picking, and packing

  • Developmonthly/annual metrics to support operation productivity, quality, delivery andsafety. Motivate team members to achieve goals.

  • Responsiblefor continuous improvement, developing best practices, documenting standardwork, promoting 5S activities, and ensuring highest possible levels ofproductivity.

  • Supportsafety programs to ensure safety is promoted in all operations in facility.

  • Ensure areas appropriatelystaffed for shifts and operations.

  • Support TeamLeaders in hiring, goal setting, rewards, and mentoring of team members.

  • Develop andmaintain performance measurement system.

  • Monitor andinitiate changes to layout to ensure they continue to meet company needs.Maintain condition of equipment and make recommendations for replacement orimprovements.

  • Provideleadership to receiving in a customer focused and team environment to ensurequality service.

  • Responsible forunderstanding customer critical success factors and developing correctiveactions for AP/receiving issues and line disruptions.

  • Communicatewith sourcing, suppliers, after sales and customer service to support aftersales demand, growth initiatives and customer service.

  • Serve asoverall technical leader on materials management and process improvements forall aspects of aftermarket distribution.

  • Maintainprofessional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops,reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking, etc.

  • Managemetrics and drive root cause analysis to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

CAPABILITYREQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years’supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, Warehousing andDistribution or equivalent

  • Inventorymanagement experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Excellentcommunication skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal.

  • Provenleadership, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.

  • Motivatedleader with strong strategic focus.

  • Demonstratedability to make decisions and provide direction.

  • Ability towork with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field required

LICENSEAND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Blackbelt orGreenbelt certification a plus
