Production Scheduler – Custom Shop



TheCustom Shop Production Scheduler position is a dynamic role that encompassesresponsibility for the planning of the Custom Shop production schedule to meetthe customer’s requirements.Thisposition will ensure the alignment of vehicles to customize,purchased/fabricated components, and Custom Shop capability and capacity sothat efficient throughput can be achieved for Custom vehicles/parts.This position will work very closely with theSales Analysts, Assembly Production Schedulers, Logistics and the Custom Shopteam to identify opportunities for productivity improvements, avoiding downtimeand cost increases, and to reduce lead-times.Also plays an integral role in ensuring totalcustomer satisfaction in a continuous improvement environment.


  • Establish andcoordinate assembly schedules in a job-shop environment to ensure the mostefficient flow of materials, parts and assemblies within the Custom Shop orfrom other departments

  • Attend/holdregular meetings to prioritize and plan production activities to maintainon-time delivery - monitor execution of Custom Shop vehicle and parts sales ordersand adjust schedules to meet deadlines

  • Work crossfunctionally with factory Production Control and Logistics teams to ensureCustom Shop schedule is current based on vehicle availability and shippingpriority

  • Developweekly/monthly schedule based on capacity of Custom Shop

  • Enhance the usageof company’s SAP system for accurate scheduling and to drive improvements inassembly (minimize downtime, reduce inefficiencies, reduce excess inventory,etc.)

  • Develop, maintainand analyze production control reports to drive improvements in Custom assembly

  • Work with the Custom Shop Engineer toinitiate and communicate special manufacturing request (SMR) in a timely mannerto complete Custom units

Ensures that long-lead items or products that need outsideprocessing are achieved in time for custom work

Analyzes raw material demand forpurchase and on-time delivery in an job-shop environment.

Keepup-to-date on both actual and potential supply problems and/or delivery issues;provide timely communications and analysis to management.

Developand promote better ways of analyzing and communicating service to internal customers.



  • Solidcomputer skills including experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, andPowerPoint).

  • Highenergy multi-tasker, can effectively deal with ambiguity

Bachelor’s Degree in business or related workexperience required.
