Summary:

The Assembly Quality Auditor is responsible for performinginspection or auditing of finished assembled units, kits, purchased parts andaccessories to determine conformity to specifications; system audits such as QMSrelated functions. The employee isresponsible for performing inspection and/or auditing to determine conformityto specification which may include using various measuring and testingequipment.

Essential Duties:

Investigates, analyzes, and assures accuracy of informationentered into Quality managed data collection tools as directed by QualityEngineer / Manager.

Plans and performs work accurately and in a cost-efficientmanner.

Participates in root cause and corrective action activities.

There will be a strong focus given to defect prevention,control plan audits and end of the line inspection audits. Must be able toidentify and implement corrective actions for quality issues.

Understanding of the QMS processes and participation inprograms that consistently meet or exceed our customers’ quality standards andmaintain full compliance with Quality Systems.

Knowledge of inspection gauges and methods including but notlimited to micrometers, calipers, and height gauge.

Employee will use engineering drawings, inspection plans,work instructions, final assembly drawings, and bills of materials or otherspecifications to perform inspection of finished assembled, internalmanufactured parts or processes.

Responsible for conducting in-process auditing for all workstations.

Performs product or process troubleshooting as required.Interfaces with Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Purchasing or othergroups on issues pertaining to product and/or process discrepancies.

Maintains appropriate documentation to assist in producttraceability and to support other quality programs.

Perform to an established methods and standards; meeting orexceeding the departments quality and productivity goals.

Work with limited supervision.

Communicate well with others and work in a manner to supporta team environment.

Perform to company 5S standard.

Responsible for maintaining communication to appropriatemanagement and support personnel concerning safety, quality, and any issues asthey arise.

Performs other duties within the scope of job assignment asassigned by Team Leader, Quality Engineer or Manager.

Must perform duties in compliance with all safetyrules and regulations required by the Company, Local, State and Federalprovisions.

Qualifications

Knowledge of blueprint reading is preferred.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Basic algebra and trigonometry skills are preferred.

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Strong verbal communication skills required.

Ability to act as technical resource for departmental inspection, receiving inspection, in process auditing, and final inspection.

Moderate computer and statistical analysis skills preferred.

Must be detailed oriented to support and maintain accuracy of records.

Must be able to stand, lift, bend and stoop.

Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and more with assistance.

Regularly required to talk or hear.

Occasionally required to climb or balance and smell.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to work in different environments and elements. Often quality inspection and rework can be done outside.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule during peak seasons and end of month.

Education:

Associate or Technical Degree or engineering supportexperience in automotive or golf car industry preferred.

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 3-5 years experience in Quality Assurance or relatedarea.

Must be trained in applicable quality system procedures andwork instructions.

Must be able to learn and employ a variety of computersystems and software programs such as, but not limited to, MS Windows, Exceland SAP and/or Oracle.
