To assist Leadership inthe instruction, training, and overall second shift operations of the fabricationdepartment and to promote teamwork and progress among all employees.
Master all jobs on the team to be able to train newemployees
Train the team on standard work
Train team members to be multi-skilled and flexible
Encourage and facilitate job rotation
Assist operations leader and team members withdeveloping standards for workplace organization
Audit housekeeping in assigned workstations dailyand weekly
Lead daily kick-off meetings, reviewing SQDC
Complete and train employees on Near Misssubmissions
Lead CI and 5S initiative
Know the quality standards associated with andrelated to the team’s processes
Ensure that each team member is educated on qualitystandards
Measure and document quality standards within team
Initiate process improvements based upon qualitytrend data
Conduct torque tool validation
Update SQDC boards
If defects are found, complete the line side reviewswith the team members and supervise them for recurrence prevention
Allocate manpower according to situation/skill level
Perform role of team member in case of absenteeism
Perform role of team leader if any team situationrequires
Track team absenteeism and report trends toOperations Leader
Leads 8 to 20 employees in operations
The employee is regularly requiredto stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; andreach with hands and arms.
The employee must regularly liftand/or move up to 10 pounds.
The employee must occasionally liftup to 40 pounds with assistance.
Specific vision abilities requiredby this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjustfocus.
EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE:
Musthave a minimum of High School Degree or GED.
Minimum of three to five years manufacturing experience preferredand/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous leadership experience preferred
Good communication skills
Basic computer skills preferred
