Field Service Technician-Northeast US



Primary responsibility is general mechanical service on Airline Ground Support Equipment


  • Routine preventive maintenance on Aircraft Ground Support equipment.

  • Commissioning new Aircraft Ground Support Equipment.

  • Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, hydraulic failures and be able to perform repairs in the field.

  • Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the components, parts and systems.

  • Conduct operation and preventive maintenance training at customer’s facility.

  • Performs assigned duties on-site at a customer’s location.

  • Responsible for assigned company vehicle.

  • Maintain a professional attitude in appearance and actions.

  • Makes deliveries or pickups from customers to provide a continuity of service and maintenance of accounts.

  • Provides sales leads to management.

  • Responsible for maintaining all assigned company tools and/or equipment on assigned service truck.

  • Responsible for preventive maintenance of assigned company vehicle and/or trailer.

  • Responsible for timely completion of necessary work orders, parts orders, delivery reports, time sheets and other paperwork required to document the mechanical work and other duties accomplished.

  • Manage truck inventory to keep levels low and inventory turns high.

  • Performs all other related duties as required by management.



  • 5 years of equipment repair.

  • Strong knowledge of Diesel Engines, Electrical systems, Hydraulics, Generators.

  • Basic knowledge of refrigeration

  • Computer literate.

  • Valid Driver’s License. CDL Prefered

  • Must furnish own hand tools.

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the equipment repair industry.


High school diploma or G.E.D

Degree in Automotive, Diesel mechanics prefered


Valid Driver’s License, CDL License preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 95 lbs

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods as required for driving
