ABOUT TOOLS & TEST – UTILITY SEGMENT:

The utility segment of Tools & Tests is based in the scenic city of Chattanooga, TN. The utility segment supports three leading brands – Sherman Reilly, HD Electric Company and Greenlee. Together these brands provide industry-leading solutions to meet the needs of the electric utility market at every stage of the power supply process. Evolving with the utility industry, Sherman Reilly is a leader in manufacturing equipment and tools for overhead and underground power line installation and maintenance. HD Electric company continues to bring innovation to the forefront in the areas of controlling, testing and measuring electric power to drive safety and efficiently. Greenlee continues to be a leader in the professional tool industry, bringing to market ergonomic battery-powered tools, low-pressure hydraulic tools and more to the electric utility market.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Marketing Coordinator will develop, implement and measure integrated marketing and communication initiatives designed to support business objectives. Promote products and services to a global audience, build brand awareness in the marketplace, and elevate the company’s thought leadership throughout the industry. Coordinate across multiple departments and with outside vendors to execute on marketing objectives. Develop and support creative services, collateral development, content creation, tradeshows, paid and earned media and more. Support the strategic planning process with new ideas that contribute to the company's success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate, plan and execute marketing projects based on business objectives

  • Support new product launches through various marketing tactics

  • Work alongside marketing vendors to guide the development of marketing collateral, advertising, press releases and multimedia campaign elements

  • Develop compelling content for multi-channel distribution based on in-depth product, service and industry knowledge

  • Manage the regional tradeshow process and support national tradeshow planning and execution

  • Understand target audiences and identify best ways to reach and engage each segment

  • Routinely monitor and study emerging marketing and industry topics and trends and competitor news

  • Ensure projects are prioritized accordingly, and executed on time and efficiently

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing or communications

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

  • Proven track record of successful project management and execution

  • High level of initiative

  • Able to prioritize projects, remain flexible and meet project deadlines

  • Able to analyze and compile necessary data to present recommendations to management

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications with experience in CRM database management, InDesign and Photoshop a plus

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as a team player

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel - 20% travel is required for this position.
