JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for thetechnical and engineering support among Textron Aviation product lines, suppliers, and engineering groups to resolve manufacturing nonconformance to type design. Candidates will design, analyze, and write repair solutions on production and experimental aircraft in a timely manner to restore design integrity, ensure aircraft reliability, serviceability, and maintain certification requirements. Duties may include troubleshooting and resolving operational/performance issues with propeller and jet powered passenger aircraft.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Review part/assembly rejections for nonconformance and determine action using basic stress analysis and systems/process knowledge.

  2. Develop and write engineering instructions to resolve non-conformances on aircraft in manufacturing.

  3. Perform Quality System data analysis and documentation in support of sustaining designs.

  4. Coordinate within Engineering Production Support, Supply Chain, and other technical groups to develop technical resources for team usage.

  5. Answer drawing/specification interpretation questions and provide general engineering support to mechanics and inspectors as required.

  6. Candidate will be responsible for adhering to company MRB and QA procedures.

  7. Candidate must be able to interact with inspectors, shop mechanics, other engineering disciplines, and management as required.

  8. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate a strong ability to complete tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision.

  9. Participate in the development and improvement of processes and tools.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 2 years’ relative technical and engineering experience is required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English.

  • Mexican passport and willing to travel for training assignment.

  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor

  • Strong sense of accountability and integrity

  • Must be proficient in MS Office and CATIA.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Previous test experience preferred.

  • Basic stress analysis skills

  • Knowledge in mechanics of materials

  • Blue print interpretation experience preferred.

  • SAP experience is preferred
