A Day in the Life of aBell Co-op:
Bell is currentlyseeking talented Supply Chain Professionals for a co-opopportunity at our facilities in Texas, primarily in the Dallas-Fort Worthmetroplex. As a Bell Co-Op, you will obtain invaluable hands-on technicalexperience that will help you build the path between your academic andprofessional careers. We will help you grow as problem solvers andcritical thinkers. An authentic procurement experience will be formed byparticipating in actual contract negotiations and building supplierrelationships. The Bell Co-op Program is a fundamental part of the BellSupply Chain talent pipeline and carries the potential for students to returnas full-time employees upon completing their degree.
Spring Supply ChainCo-Op Program Dates: January 22, 2018 –May 11, 2018
Working Hours: 10-20 hours/week local students, 40hours/week non-local students.
Supply Chain co-opstudents will be assigned relevant work assignments to challenge and stimulatethem according to their current level of experience and capability. SupplyChain co-op students may find themselves working in the following areas: SheetMetal, Metal and Composite Aircraft Structures Commodity.
This commodity supports Bell legacy, production and new development programs.
Strategically identify and analyze purchase requirements for long term contract project support.
Create, review and publish long term contracts and modifications in Bell’s Contract Lifecyle Management (CLM) business system.
Soliciting Bell suppliers and exchange technical data for request for proposals through an e-sourcing portal.
Must be a full-time student at the time of the Supply Chain Co-Op Program.
Must be pursuing a BS or MS degree in Supply Chain.
Completed at least three (3) semesters of study in Supply Chain.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Local students must be able to work part-time (10-20 hrs/week) while attending school\
. Hours are flexible and can be tailored to the student’s school schedule; however all hours must be worked within a standard corporate work week (Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm).
Non-local students must be able to take a semester off of school to work full-time (40 hrs/week) for the duration of the Co-Op Program. All hours must be worked within a standard corporate work week (Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm).
Must be able to fulfill the full length of the Supply Chain Co-Op Program (January 22, 2018 – May 11, 2018).
- Note: Studentsmay be required to attend specific trainings during their first 2 weeks of theCo-Op Program. If selected, please ensure your schedule is flexibleand professors are given advanced warning if these trainings conflict withclass schedules. We will do our best to work around your class schedulewhen possible.
Intermediate skill level using Windows Operating Systems
Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Communication skills for relaying data (verbal and written) between other employees and customers
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
