The Customer Advantage Plan (CAP) Warranty Specialist handles maintenance warranty claims for Bell’s commercial aircraft products. Works extensively with Product Support Agreements and Long-Term Contracts related to aircraft warranties. This position as part of the Commercial Warranty team is responsible for the day to day management and disposition of 3,000 warranty claims with 10,000 line items annually.

Responsibilities

  • Adjudicate warranty claims - approve or deny. Issue new or reconditioned parts, repair customer part or issue spares credit.

  • Issue RMAs for return of parts to Bell for engineering evaluation or repair

  • Engage with Bell cross functional teams - Bell Customer Support Engineers, Product Support Engineers, Customer Service Facilities, Bell Piney Flats, Able Engineering to resolve warranty claims

  • Coordinate activities with Accounts Receivable, Inventory Management, FTW Logistics Center, Supply Centers, Programs, etc. to get parts to customers

  • Direct responsible for managing programs with nonstandard warranty terms. Failure to manage the warranty portion of the contract can result in Bell paying penalties or extending the warranty term.

  • Engage with Bell suppliers on behalf of customers to resolve issues.

  • Denying or approving claims up to $250K

  • Adjudication and issuing of replacement part or credit within 5 days

  • Adjudicate warranty / CAP claims per Bell commercial warranty policy with proper documentation

  • Ensure proper charging of warranty / CAP cost

  • Obtain management approvals for any exceptions

  • Adhere to all Import/Export requirements for ITAR controlled parts

  • Compliance with customer credit limit

Qualifications

Education

  • 4-year degree, BA in Business Administration, or equivalent Aviation related experience. Other degrees may be considered when combined with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in Aerospace Industry

  • Must be familiar and knowledgeable about aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul of equipment or systems.

  • Strong customer focus, communication skills, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to think outside of the standard warranty policy to bring a well-balanced resolution for the customer and Bell.

  • Requires a very level of attention to details

  • Analytical planning skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Proven problem-solving skills

  • Negotiation skills.

  • Builds solid relationships with customers, requiring strong customer communications skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, communicate, negotiate and manage projects

  • Working knowledge of SAP (ECC), CRM, VISTA, Microsoft Office Applications, Enovi

  • Requires flexibility to be responsible for on call duty phone once every 5-6 weeks on a team rotational basis. (AOG priority)

Preferred

  • Aviation Maintenance or Logistics background experience - preferably in helicopter industry

  • A&P license is a plus

  • Knowledge of contracts, and negotiating with suppliers. Prior experience with Product Support Agreements (PSA), long Term contracts (LTC) is a plus.
