Bell is seeking a Industrial HygieneHealth & Safety Rep to support our Safety program at the Bell headquartersin Fort Worth, TX.
The successful candidate willcoordinate the development, implementation, and strengthening of programs toenhance employee experience, specifically targeting occupational health hazardsor environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace.
Roles and responsibilities willinclude:
Assessment of risk and surveillance of materials andchemical use.
Maintain Industrial Hygiene data management system(database)
Act as subject matter expert in areas of indoor air quality,sampling media and methodologies, chemical management.
Review new, innovative processes for potential hazards.
Implement strategies for ongoing exposure monitoring toassure timely identification of deviations in exposure profiles and to ensurecontrols continue to be effective.
Interpret exposure monitoring results and developappropriate recommendations to control exposures.
Recognize and investigate the potential for health effectsassociated with chemical agents.
Advise management on industrial hygiene issues, recommendactions to prevent or minimize health hazards, provide industrial hygiene inputto risk management decision processes.
Review regulatory requirements prior to conducting airsampling, and assess hazards; implement sampling strategies and applyrecognized standards; help with or perform sampling using indirect and directreading instruments to quantify hazards.
Maintain Industrial Hygiene equipment.
Complete hazard and chemical assessments for variousdepartments.
Teach various health and safety classes.
Assist in conducting accident and incident investigations.

* Qualifications* :
Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or similar technical discipline.
Related experience supporting research and development, industrial operations and production, or field service operations (2-5 years preferred).
Ability to organize, structure, and assess historical data for trending, risk identification, risk mitigation, and concern investigations.
Experience using typical Industrial Hygiene instrumentation, e.g., sound level meter, PID, 4-channel gas analyzer, personal sample pumps.
Possess basic knowledge of applicable regulations and consensus standards for occupational health and safety including OSHA, NFPA.
Knowledge/understanding and experience in identification, evaluation, and control of hazards associated with chemical handling and storage.
Proficient in PC-based applications including word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Interpersonal communication skill in working with individuals at all levels within and outside the department, including conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
Organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and coordinate work as needed
* Desired skills:*
Certifications or pursuit of industry recognized certifications in the Safety, Health or Environmental disciplines.
Prior work experience in manufacturing.
Demonstrated project management skills.
