Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating andexecuting financial budgeting and forecasting, accounting and analysisactivities within the Textron Information Services (TIS) organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual budget planning process for the TIS Shared Services organization, including coordination with Business Units

  • Coordinate and manage all accounting activities for the TIS organization, including account reconciliations, invoice processing, Corporate reporting requirements, pass-thru cost distribution and capital spend tracking

  • Provide financial and decision support to the TIS Shared Services teams, including monthly departmental actual/forecast deliverables and financial analysis for IT projects

  • Work with TIS BU Relationship Managers and Suppliers as needed to resolve billing/payment disputes for the TIS organization

  • Ensure that all financial governance reporting processes are deployed and properly implemented both internally and with Suppliers

  • Support DCAA requests for government contractor audits

  • Manage transactional processes for the payment of telecom services and distribution of telecom cost to Textron businesses

Qualifications

Skills/Competencies:

  • In-depth understanding of financial accounting policies, practices, tools and techniques specifically as they apply to IT products and services

  • Thorough knowledge of finance controls, processes, and systems, as well as cost estimation and budget management

  • Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication, and organizational skills

  • Highly experienced in managing and understanding general accounting principles

  • Strong critical thinking skills

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field;

  • Experience in leading operational and capital budget development process

  • Experience with and understanding of the financial and commercial implications of long-term contracts/projects

  • Understanding of GAAP principles

Working Relationships:

Internal:

  • Close working relationships with Corporate Accounting and FP&A staff

  • Interacts with TIS management, Division IT management and Division IT Finance staff

  • Interacts with other TIS and Infrastructure Operations team members as appropriate

External:

  • Interacts with Suppliers as appropriate to resolve billing disputes and develop business cases for new/expanded services
