Bell is seeking a Supply Chain Contract Professional to support our Supply Chain program at the Bell headquartersin Fort Worth, TX.
Responsible for establishing optimal long-term and high-dollar procurement contracts that enable a commodity team to achieve its strategic objectives. Such contracts represent the outgrowth of a defined commodity strategy, and the Commodity Contracting Specialist works directly with the Commodity Manager and Commodity Analyst to design and manage a contracting approach that will place a large majority of commodity spend on LTC with a rationalized supply base that delivers superior cost and availability.
Primary activities of the Commodity Contracting Specialist include evaluating current and existing suppliers for fit with strategic purchasing contracts, preparing and issuing requests for proposal (RFPs), and facilitating the bid evaluation and down-selection process. The Commodity Contracting Specialist also prepares negotiation strategies and conducts contract negotiations, employing cost scenario models, contracting strategy techniques, and negotiation support tools to advance the commodity’s key supply chain objectives, and finalizes contract awards. In all activities, the Commodity Contracting Specialist ensures compliance with all government contracting regulations and internal administrative requirements.

- 4-Yr Degree (BS/BA in Supply Chain Mgmt, Business Administration, Industrial Technology/Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting). Will consider additional experience in lieu of a degree.
2 years relevant professional experience.
Experience with strategic sourcing strategy and techniques, financial analysis, cost analysis of commodity, Raw Materials, service, etc
Experience and understanding of direct/indirect commodity pricing.
Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier and commodity Mgmt, supplier relationships, Contracts, Supply Chain Mgmt, Supplier Development and total cost of ownership.
Green Belt Six Sigma certification preferred.
Analytical experience in a commodity.
- Candidate will be required to have strong computer and analytical skills. Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills. Strong business acumen. Experience applying Six Sigma / Lean Principles / Tools a plus.
