Job Summary

This analyst position is for an experienced logistics professional that will function as a member of the Textron Systems Unmanned Systems (TSUS) Integrated Product Support Services (IPSS) organization. The analyst will function primarily in a provisioning capacity, but will also be required to support other Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activities as necessary to identify support resources and document them within a comprehensive Logistics Product Data (LPD) Database. The analyst will carry out significant data collection activities and frequently interface with subject matter experts (SMEs) across functional disciplines including design, systems, and specialty engineering, technical publications, training, and the Integrated Supply Chain. In addition, the analyst will support the development of technical reports, plans and presentation materials, and effectively support communications with various stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain LPD/Logistic Support Analysis Records (LSAR) in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007 and/or MIL STD-1388-2B

  • Review customer and company specific requirement documents as the basis for establishing supportability requirements for equipment, and determine the LSA technical studies that are appropriate given the defined program scope and product life cycle phase. LSA methods may include but are not limited to Provisioning, Maintenance Task Analysis, Personnel and Manpower Requirements Analysis, Support and Test Equipment Requirements Analysis, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) Analysis.

  • Support various Integrated Product Support (IPS) conferences, meetings, and demonstrations such as LSA and Provisioning Guidance Conferences, Maintainability and Logistics Demonstrations, and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS)/Integrated Product Support (IPS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) reviews

  • Collect data necessary to support the conduct of LSA and the development of a comprehensive LPD Databases through review of technical data including engineering drawings and specifications, as well as though communication with technical SMEs and various product stakeholders.

  • Generate reports and participate in briefings that summarize the results of technical studies and communicate results to both the internal and external customers through written reports and verbal presentations.


Qualifications – External

  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in the application of DoD, Government, or Industry Standards, Regulations, Handbooks, and Specifications related to the conduct of ILS/IPS and LSA and the development and maintenance of LPD/LSAR IAW GEIA STD 0007 and/or MIL STD 1388-2B using industry and/or DoD standard applications such as SLICwave and PowerLogJ.

  • Demonstrated experience in the conduct of LSA technical studies and methods such as Operation and Maintenance Task Analysis, PHS&T Analysis

  • Technical education/experience that enables the candidate to interpret and apply technical documentation such as engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Knowledgeable in the use of common tools and test equipment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills that require frequent interface with other stakeholders such as engineering, technical writers, field technicians, and customer personnel

  • Ability to attain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance

Considered a Plus:

  • Prior military experience

  • College or advance technical training or experience in Aviation, Electro-Mechanical or Unmanned Systems concentration

  • Knowledge of Unmanned Aviation System (UAS) products, particularly the Shadow or Gray Eagle platforms

  • Demonstrated experience with Military PHS&T IAW with MIL-STD-2073-1E

  • Demonstrated ability to train/mentor junior personnel

  • Use of SLICwave, Powerlog J, PubLog, Haystack software programs

  • Understand Earned Value Management System (EVMS) process as a means of monitoring both schedule and cost progress within the project.

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer requirements documents including work statements, specifications, CDRLs/SDRLs, and DIDs.
