Responsibilities includedeveloping and managing the execution of the production schedule as a result ofmaterial requirements planning (MRP) output, taking into consideration theavailable capacity, material availability and program delivery commitments.Communicates to business product support managers and program managers themanufacturing status, expected completion dates and production cost /schedulerisk analysis.
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinatesthe internal/external supply chain material requirements to ensure a controlledflow of approved materials to meet on time delivery requirements.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability,and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment,materials and services are provided as needed.
Monitors internal and external supply chain alignment – identifies andresolves potential constraints, prepares work orders or purchase requests forthe production or purchase of components / parts based on a master productionschedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
Plays an integral part of Integrated Product Teams (IPT) by effectivelyinterfacing with internal customers daily, schedules and expedites the movementof parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shippingorders.
Performs Control Account Mgr. (CAM) duties for manufacturing tasks forprograms by preparing labor and material ETCs/EACs/EVs and communicating potentialcost/schedule impacts.
Assists BPS Mgr. in the development and execution of action/ workaroundplans for assigned products/value streams to maximize MDS on-time completion.Analyzes pegging reports to determine critical path constraints. Performsproduct lead time analysis.
Manages manual demand for top/down & bottom-up releases, facilitatesECN/ECP changes and coordinates production cut-ins. Reviews excess material forpossible consumption in other jobs. Creates material transfers, borrow/paybacktransactions and PO change requests.
Tracks project milestones and provide evidence to finance for billingpurposes.
Performs analysis for possible make/buy decisions that could affect capacityand contract schedule.
Bachelor’s degree required with 6 or more years of moderately professionallyrelated experience preferred.
1-3 years materialrequirements planning (MRP) experience & CPIM (Certified in Production andInventory Management) certification preferred
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Detailed understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Thorough understanding of the following: various production planning andinventory techniques and practices, Capacity Planning, various forecastingtechniques and their application.
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE / PROFICIENCY:
Required: Word, Excel, Outlook, Prior MRP software experience
Preferred: PowerPoint, MS Projects, EMatrix, Oracle ERP Software
