Responsible for the manual production of quality welded parts, maintaining production standards under minimal supervision, and operation of required equipment or machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the manufacture of component parts into completed units within blueprint specification and/or design tolerances. This requires MIG welding with .035 and .045 Flux Core. TIG welding capabilities are preferred.
Maintains acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
Performs minor adjustments, repairs, or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.
Maintains proper weld dimensions, heat and depth of weld to parts.
Possesses technical skills for the operation of welding equipment.
Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of department weld table.
Performs assigned job duties with minimal supervision.
Performs all other assigned duties as instructed by supervision.
Must be able to account for time on projects/jobs and enter a daily time slip detailing work that was completed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Preferred but not required Weld Certification
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group
situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
