Position Scope:
The Station Manager is responsible for optimizing processes in Safety, Quality, Delivery,
Cost and Continuous Improvement by monitoring and supervising daily operations at assigned shop. In addition, the Station Manager oversees customer service while managing service level agreements, part sales and should be working to grow the business at assigned location.
Directs and coordinates all service activities to meet customer schedules and goals
Manages daily, weekly and monthly performance against established financial goals and metrics.
Checks and reports on status of service and acts to eliminate delays and parts shortages.
Manages workforce headcount, schedules (time off request, attendance), payroll, and employee relations (discipline)
Responsible for maintaining daily invoices and data entry
Manages accurate inventory levels and part tracking
Ensure positive customer relations while generating new business
Develops and implements continuous improvement opportunities and employee training needs. Drives root cause corrective action problem solving initiatives to achieve improved safety, quality, delivery and cost
Reviews and recommends short and long-term resource requirements, capital equipment and facilities expenditures
Enforces maintenance of area safety practices, work rules and good housekeeping habits
Develops positive employee relations though coaching, counseling personnel on questions and problems. Conducts annual employee evaluations
Ensures adequate supply of tools, equipment and materials for efficient location operations.
Assists with recommendations regarding workplace layouts, service methods and efficiencies by auditing operations to improve service flow and reduce costs.
Perform various tasks as assigned by manager
Minimum two (2) years of experience in business, customer service, or equipment repair industry.
Previous ground support equipment is preferred
Strong organizational, human relations and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership, communication, interpersonal and teambuilding skills
Experience with OSHA Safety Regulations preferred
Ability to work across organizational boundaries to deliver results
Ability to plan and execute multiple projects/activities
Microsoft software experience required (Outlook Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Strong knowledge of Diesel Engines, Electrical systems, Hydraulics, Generators preferred
Ability to attain Airport issued ID badge
High school diploma or G.E.D
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
Degree in Automotive, Diesel mechanics preferred
LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver’s License,Vocational training certificate or equivalent in work experience
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to constantly stand, walk, twist (neck), stoop/bend, reach (forward/side), simple grasping with both hands, lift, push, and pull
