To perform and maintain properinspection standards, methods and procedures used by the Service Center incomplying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer'srecommendations.
I. Ensures proper procedures areperformed on all completed work before it is released to service. Completes allinspection and maintenance records, reports and forms required beforeauthorized release.
II. Performs the following asdelegated by the Supervisor:
A. Maintains a current file of FAA specifications,certificate data sheets and airworthiness directives.
B. Makes periodicchecks on all inspection tools and for the calibration of precision testequipment as outlined in the Overhaul Manuals and the FAA Repair StationManuals. Ensures no defective or unairworthy parts are installed in anycomponent or unit released by the Service Center.
C. Submitsreports of defects or unairworthy conditions in accordance with FAR 145.63.
D. Inspects andaccepts all incoming material, i.e. new parts, supplies and repaired parts fromcontract service.
E. Ensures propertagging and identification of all parts.
F. Maintainscurrent library of aircraft maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, structurerepair manuals, wiring manuals and engine manuals applicable to the Citationmodels.
III. Responsible for assuringcompletion of required inspections and maintaining files of completed workorders and inspection forms in an efficient system for easy review bysupervisor.
Equivalent to a high school education plus A&P license. Requires use of arithmetic, blueprints and specifications plus knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles and mechanical systems.
Requires minimum of 2 years diversified A&P mechanic experience on jet and turboprop 100 hour and annual service experience. Requires A&P license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority (if applicable)
