This position is responsible for sales of golf cars, turf, Textron Fleet Management, and specialty/utility vehicles to the golf and pro turf channel, including country clubs, public golf courses, resorts, driving ranges, municipalities, universities, parks and rec, etc.


  • Represent Textron Specialized Vehicles at trade shows, bid openings, and conferences as needed.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve customer relationships.

  • Prepare lease and/or purchase proposals tailored to customer needs. Work with customers on financing as necessary.

  • Submit detailed orders to appropriate personnel with clear and concise information.

  • Keep Regional Sales Director apprised of current sales status for all courses within designated territory.

  • Relay information to appropriate Company personnel concerning possible field product problems.

  • Quote products and prices under existing company guidelines.

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives on a quarterly, semiannual, and annual basis.

  • Educate customers about Textron Specialized Vehicles products. This includes the features and benefits that make TSV superior to the competition (requires knowledge of competitors' products and product features).

  • Coordinate customer delivery, service, and administrative needs with Operations Manager and/or Service Manager as necessary to ensure superior customer service.

  • Maintain accurate market data and promptly record data changes in company database.

  • Overnight travel on an as-needed basis in order to service and satisfy customer needs. Travel is often frequent.

  • Provide expense reports, mileage reports, sales prospects, conquests and losses, and other required records and reports to Regional Sales Manager as scheduled.

  • Ensure all demo slips, sales paperwork and lease paperwork are signed and properly completed.

  • Maintain records of all quotes and outcome of customer purchases (whether Textron Specialized Vehicles or not).

  • Ensure preventive maintenance and proper operation of assigned and company vehicle.



  • Proven sales experience

  • Strong preference for sales experience in durable goods industry

  • Prefer experience in a territory requiring frequent travel

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills required

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce

  • Knowledge of the game of golf required; knowledge of golf industry a plus

  • Must be willing to travel frequently; overnight travel will be required weekly, sometimes for more than one night per week.


  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Physical Demands:

  • Loading and unloading a two-car trailer.
