A Mechanical EngineeringTech provides support for the design, integration, and maintenance ofmechanical systems in a fast-paced environment.This individual will have an opportunity to travel, execute military andcivil hardware testing, and grow in their role.The position involves component integration, modifications, assembly andtest of craft systems.Individual mustbe able to analyze drawings and diagrams to troubleshoot a wide variety ofsystems.
Troubleshoot and maintain SSC craft and support equipment.
Troubleshoot structural, hydraulic, propulsion, and othermechanical systems.
Support offsite testing and demonstrations.
Represent Textron in all aspects of customer interaction.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Associate’s Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Engineering Technology preferred.
Two (2) plus years of experience with electronics.
Strong ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
Must be able to operate electronic and mechanical test equipment.
Must be able to use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers.
Experience working with military aviation platforms is a plus. LCAC experience is optimal.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasking.
Ability to work extended hours to meet program goals.
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
Ability to work in tight quarters and confined spaces.
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance.
Working knowledge of Military specifications is a plus.
Must be a team player and able to work with minimum supervision.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word and Outlook.
Must have demonstrated the ability to successfully initiate and carry to completion assignments of major responsibility and of the most complex and technical nature.
Travel requirement is estimated to be 50% average.
