Job Summary:

AnOutfitter performs any and all tasks as assigned by management based on the needs of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Job duties includestructural fitting and mechanical outfitting of the craft.

  • Job includes installing land modules (engines, P&E, Command, prop ducts, etc).

  • Align machinery and install above deck final outfitting hardware.

  • Install some tubing assembly, ramps, skirts, and non-skid material on cargo decks.

  • Transition crafts in building and out to PA&D.

  • Typical tools used in the performance of job duties include air tools, pneumatics, hand tools such as wrenches, computers, etc.

  • Performs work from Engineering drawings, sketches, written and verbal instructions.

· Maintain records, forms, and logs as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma or GED certificate.

Position Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of previous experience

  • Formal craft training with the ability to read blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and drawings is necessary to the completion of tasks or work.

  • Ability to certify to use overhead crane and/or forklift.

  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts.

  • Ability to perform shop mathematics.

  • Ability to certify as an aluminum tacker.

  • Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours as needed to accomplish the task.

  • Must supply tools required to perform the job duties.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS:

Physical demands described have been validated by on-site job analysis. They are representative of the physical demands that must be met by an employee to successfully and safely perform the essential functions of this job. The following information is a synopsis of key physical demand requirements determined from a detailed job analysis:

Postural: Must have the ability to move extremities and spine throughout a sufficient range of motion that will permit the employee to work in a variety of postures involving a range from floor to overhead level. Flexing and twisting of the trunk and other awkward postures are occasionally required.

Dexterity : Must have a good dexterity and frequently use one and two hands throughout the work period for handling tools and materials.

Cardiorespiratory Demand : Must have sufficient cardiorespiratory fitness to be able to perform heavy work. Must be able to safely tolerate heavy demands on the cardiorespiratory system in various temperature ranges and humidity.

General Physical Activities : Include standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body twisting, crawling, sense of touch, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, seeing distant/reading, reaching, hearing, depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs and balancing.

Physical Demand Level - Heavy : Must be able to perform heavy physical labor as classified by the United States Department of Labor. Physical demands typically involve lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling not to exceed 60 lbs.
