LDP Program Manager
Textron's Leadership DevelopmentProgram (LDP) provides early career professionals a mix of challenging workexperiences with multi-industry movement, mentoring, access to leaders andtraining. Over the course of two years, our participants build valuable skillsand networks at multiple Textron businesses. Our goal is to accelerate our participant’sprofessional development to create high-quality talent to fill key roles in theorganization.
We’re looking for a new ProgramManager to oversee the delivery of 1-3 LDP functions (Engineering, SupplyChain, Finance, IT, Marketing & Sales, Communications, and/or HR), bring skillsin project management and a desire to work to continuously improve the LDP tokeep our program best in class. You can expect to put your pastexperiences to work within an agile, collaborative and creative environment.You’ll be responsible for the recruitment, placement and development of ourprogram participants and will do this by partnering with enterprise top-levelexecutives and key business and HR partners at each of the Textron businessunits.
Major responsibilities and initiatives include :
Partnering with functional leadership and TalentAcquisition to provide guidance on recruitingstrategy and support of recruitingefforts – this can include partnership in the creation of recruitingmaterials, engagement with Textron interns to drive improvements in intern tofull-time conversion, LDP candidate management through Textron’s applicantmanagement system and participation in on-campus recruiting activities
Collaboration with functional leadership and business units to support LDP workforce planning and participant placement for incoming andcurrent participants, as well as for program completion
Partnering with business unit management on LDPassignments , participant performance and training & development needs and providing support for employee relation issues , escalating toappropriate parties as necessary
Mentoring and coaching LDP participants
Creating and delivering regular program updates to business and functional leadership on current and future state
Planning and execution of LDP function-specific curricula and related LDP face to face meetings
Continuous improvement of standardprocesses for LDP , leadership in special projects and backup support of other LDP functions , as needed
Protect and maintain the privacy ofemployee personnel records including, but not limited to, personal andcompensation information
More about you:
You’ll need to have a bachelor’s degree in a related field(ideally one of the functional areas for LDP) and a history of effectiveness in partnering well with leadership andother key stakeholders. These things will lead to you being able to sustain anenvironment of quality program execution, best practice sharing and excellence.We’ll expect you to be a criticalthinker with success in managingmultiple challenges and prioritizing projects. Additionally, we’ll look toyou to bring your passion forbringing out the best in people and desire to help early career professionals develop essential skills for the futurethrough your mentorship. We hope you’ll also come with previousexperience in recruiting, have knowledge of HR practices and have had someexperiences managing others.
