The Company is currently searching for an experienced taxprofessional to fill the Senior Tax Analyst position in our Domestic Tax Team. This role represents a great opportunity tobecome a member of a dynamic tax department comprised of highly-skilled andmotivated tax professionals committed to providing team members withchallenging and diverse tax work experience. This position reports to the Manager,Domestic Tax as a member of the Domestic Tax Team and involves preparation andreview of Company’s tax filing requirements related to federal and state taxreturn preparation and review, assistance with financial statement reportingfor income taxes (ASC 740) as needed, IRS audit support for the Company asneeded, development of less senior staff members, as well as tax research and specialproject work.
Preparation and review of complex consolidated federal and state income tax returns (Subchapter C)
Preparation and review of quarterly estimate and extension calculations and payments
Preparation and review of book to tax differences with documentation of underlying accounting methods
Assist reporting team with tax provision inputs including documentation and review of internal controls for domestic tax compliance in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley
Responsible for various special projects related to items such as Section 382 and state NOL carryovers
Research enacted and proposed legislation and prepare research memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, and other documents as necessary to support conclusions
Coordinate with other tax department team members on IRS examination information requests
Provide internal tax advisory services and assist in tax planning projects
Participate in implementation of tax compliance process improvement initiatives
May be required to direct, manage, develop, and mentor Domestic Tax Team staff members and assess performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Working knowledge of the fundamentals of accounting based on US GAAP, ASC 740, consolidated tax return regulations, and multi state tax concepts
Strong communication skills as evidenced by clear, effective communication and taking responsibility for understanding others
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
Working knowledge of corporate tax forms and schedules
Working knowledge of research tools
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, new ideas, perspectives, strategies and positions
Works effectively as a team member by operating cooperatively and cohesively with others
Experienced with Excel and income tax provision and compliance software (CorpTax experience a plus)
BS in Accounting
Demonstrated public accounting or corporate tax environment experience with Federal & State corporate tax law matters. Prior public accounting experience helpful.
CPA and/or MST preferable
