Business Solutions Architect
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Business Solutions Architect (BSA) plays a key role in the development of technical solutions designed in Qlikview to fulfill business requirements. The role of BSA requires in-depth technical knowledge and a broad understanding of application/system architecture, networking, database systems and security. This position is vital in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS :
The Business Solutions Architect reports to the Supply Chain Manager and works with the necessary teams to deliver cost effective, scalable solutions from design through build and deployment. Also interfaces with IT leadership to provide both strategic and tactical strategies for custom solution development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of initiative, creativity and action-orientation and customer focus. They will possess a strong analytic/planning competency and be adept at dealing with ambiguity, possess strong business acumen, disparate teams, conflict management, time management and organizational skills (ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadline). Ability to work across the organization and leverage strong peer relationships and organizational agility are a must.
HUMAN RELATIONS :
It is a requirement that this position deal effectively and professionally with all departments within Greenlee including executive levels as well as customers. The individual must be an excellent communicator, orally and written, and able to effectively identify and resolve complex problems.
Serves as Custom Development Solution architect delivering creative application/system solutions to the business in desired time frame. Solutions include application integrations to the enterprise systems (e.g. SAP) or in-house developed custom solutions.
Works closely with business representatives and technical resources to identify and design/deployment alternatives in order to satisfy high level business and technology requirements
Effectively compare possible solutions based on strengths, weaknesses and risks to the business.
Effectively balances non-functional objectives of all stakeholders involved in solution development.
Responsible for the technical research and design, communications and technical leadership of critical projects.
Mentors internal technical resources and develops training plans accordingly.
Responsible for ensuring the all activities are conducted in compliance with the Textron Business Guidelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors or Master’s degree in an IT field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.), Developer, or Industrial Engineering
2 years of technical experience prefered
Capacity as a Developer to provide solutions through data visualization software
Strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to develop strong support for change with all levels of internal and external organizations.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred knowledge/experience with SAP
Experience with Qlikview, Salesforce.com, mobile development, and/or manufacturing a plus
Normally assigned to an office environment; may occasionally be required to exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or 10 pounds of force frequently as well as reach, grasp, finger, lift, push and/or pull objects. Travel may be required to conduct the activities of this position.
Performs complex and varied work in an office, field, or distribution setting in a variety of situations as well as exercise of independent judgment.
Must have the ability to analyze situations and respond to problems to ensure internal and external customer requirements are met.
Must be able to make decisions and judgment based on data or, in some instances, a lack of data.
