* POSITION SUMMARY: *

This position isresponsible for planning, coordinating and supervising construction,rearrangement and refurbishment projects at all Textron Tools and Test (TTT) NorthAmerica facilities. Position will be responsible for identifying and prioritizingwork projects according to TTT economic plans and budgets whilesupporting operational excellence in safety,quality, delivery, cost, training, and employee welfare/morale.This position willoversee outside contractors to ensure timely projectcompletions. Strong knowledge of facility engineering specifications, plans andpre-bidding procedures are required. Must have experience in projectestimating, cost accounting, budget tracking and facilities planning. Some familiarityand understanding of city, state and government laws and regulations as relatedto engineering, design, construction and remodeling of facilities is desired.

Additional preferred capabilities: PC proficiency with MicrosoftOffice Suite applications and the ability to learn other computer programsutilized by the various TTT disciplines.

* ORGANIZATIONALRELATIONSHIPS: *

Thisposition reports directly to the Director of Integrated Supply Chain/CustomerService.May be called upon to train anddirect the efforts ofTTTDivision Facility Maintenance Teams.

HUMAN RELATIONSSKILLS:

Musthave effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.May work as part of a team or independentlyon projects as required.Works closelywith the various Division facility maintenance teams, Plant managers or outsidecontractors to identify facility-related projects. Must be able to coordinatemultiple projects at one time and have a demonstrated ability to make decisionsand provide effective guidance in a timely manner.

POSITIONRESPONSIBILITY:

1.Plan space needs andrequirements that align with functional needs of occupants and growth.

2.Develop, evaluate, recommendand implement utilization strategies for space.

3.Develop a list of facilityCapital projects for all TTT facilities and seek quotes for and implementapproved projects. Ensure costs are minimized by acquiring multiple quotes foraccurately defined scopes of work and research all opportunities to reducecosts.

4.Identify facility repair andupgrade projects.

5.Work with generalcontractors, vendors or in-house maintenance teams to develop repair activities,upgrade designs and project schedules.

6.Must be able to developstandard work procedures used to seek bids for contracted services –janitorial, lawn care, snow plowing, etc.

7.Develop bid specificationsand requests for proposal when necessary.

8.Select vendors and work within-house Sourcing to negotiate pricing.

9.Establish and implementpreventative maintenance programs for facility subsystems.

10.Align internal resources as necessary including Maintenance, IT,and Telecom to accomplish above tasks.

11.Supportsafety programs to ensure safety is promoted throughout the facilities.

12.Act asthe interface with appropriate functional managers and cross-functional teamsto ensure needs are understood and incorporated into the project/programprocess.

13.Coordinate/conductrequired federal, state or local inspection requirements ensuring compliancewithin allTTTfacilities.

14.Coordinateand ensure compliance with all Textron facility-related guidance, initiativesand reporting requirements.

15.Conductenergy conservation analyses to attainTTT energyreduction and intensity goals. Implement energy savings opportunities wherepractical to ensure TTT achieves or exceeds goals.

16.Assist variousfacilities in achievement of their individual safety and environmental goals,objectives and targets.

17.Coordinateas required for the assigned business unit all activities involving outsideregulatory agencies such as OSHA, EPA, etc.

18.Implementnecessary controls to ensure compliance with current environmental regulations.

19.Submitmonthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual reports to federal, state, local andcorporate offices as required.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE &EXPERIENCE:

Must possess a basicunderstanding of facility subsystems, to include mechanical, electrical,plumbing and Heating, Ventilation and Cooling systems (HVAC).Successful candidate will possess and exhibitstrong project management skills.

EDUCATION:

B.S. Degree inEngineering or technical field or significant experience in FacilitiesManagement.

MENTALREQUIREMENTS:

Performs varied tasksrequiring independent knowledge, its application to a variety of situations, aswell as exercise of independent judgment. Must be able to draw conclusions fromdata or existing conditions and use the information collected to recommendchanges or upgrades to facility components or configurations.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to liftand carry materials weighing a minimum of 50 lbsoccasionally, and/or generateup to 50 lbs of force frequently to move objects.
