GT-404 - Routine Assembly and Packaging


  • Assembles orders as specified on shop orders by inserting pins, bolts, screws, or by pressing parts together

  • Uses clamps and air vises to hold work during assembly operation

  • Affixes decals and adds instruction packets before packaging complete unit

  • Uses power tools as required

  • Visually inspects products and makes necessary tests to ensure quality

  • Uses measuring instruments to measure dimensions and torques bolts to blueprint specifications

  • Files and deburrs parts as needed

  • Stamps serial number on assemblies

  • Boxes and labels parts to meet standards

  • Wraps, boxes and labels bit orders to meet standards

  • Quickly assembles flashfolds and other cartons and applies labels

  • Sets up and runs different machines within the department

  • Efficiently uses tooling to stamp bits and parts

  • Brings up programs on computer screen to laser etch parts


  • Capable of assembling various mechanical components efficiently

  • Strong dexterity in order to coordinate movements with stroke of machine and wrapping bits

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
