Job Summary:

The TMLS Master Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production schedule that drives requirements to produce complex products. Ability to analyze the balance between supply and demand of existing and future needs and evaluate enterprise data to provide information to optimize execution. The Master Scheduler will oversee the process for schedule changes and ensure root causes for volatility is resolved. Responsible for defining and executing procedure and techniques to develop best-practice for scheduling products while balancing the best feasible plan to operational execution and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the schedule accurately represents contractual scope, flow, and resources required to execute the program.

  • Perform time-phased predictive analysis, critical path verification, and schedule risk assessments. Resolve schedule conflicts and develop work-around strategies and tactical alternatives.

  • Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis and produce reports

  • Lead and coordinate scheduling activities or project teams.

  • Monitor and improve schedule processes and procedures.

  • Perform schedule health metric analysis to identify risks, look for opportunities to improve plans, and to resolve schedule integrity issues.

  • Assist in the development of baseline resource assignments within detailed work-breakdown-structure, earned value methods assignment, and the verification of contract budget baseline.

  • Coordinate with Finance Analysts and provide technical insight from a schedule perspective on earned value variance analysis to assist CAMs in baseline variance reporting.

  • Coordinate interaction and communication between technical staff and management.

  • Meet with project team weekly to review project deadlines and activities.

  • Work with stakeholders to analyze and incorporate approved schedule changes.

  • Create and analyze ad hoc program reports and plans.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field with at least 2 years’ experience in master scheduling or 8 years Scheduling experience.

Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrate experience in IMS development within DoD environment.

  • Proven working knowledge and understanding of cost and schedule project management systems.

  • Experience with resource loaded schedules.

  • Demonstrate Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.

  • Demonstrate Critical Path Methodology (CPM) knowledge.

  • Demonstrate Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) experience (i.e. Primavera Risk Analysis, Risk …).

  • Demonstrate proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera, Open Plan, or Microsoft Project.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills interface effectively and efficiently across the organization.

  • Familiarity with schedules in an MRP/ERP environment (i.e. SAP, Oracle, MAPICS, BAAN, etc).

  • Demonstrate knowledge of integrating subcontractor with an IMS.
