Software Engineering Intern Program

  • Gain technical foundation and acquire leadership skills, project management experience, and cross-functional process knowledge.

  • Experience with full lifecycle software engineering tasks such as version control, software design, Agile SCRUM, and documentation.

Qualifications

Base Qualifications

  • Junior, Senior, or graduate student currently enrolled in a Computer Science/Computer Engineering program (or related technical discipline) with at least one term to finish after the completion of the internship

  • GPA 3.2 or higher

  • Experience with object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C or Java)

  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written)

  • Willing to work hard, play hard, and learn hard

Recommended Qualifications

  • UNIX, Linux, and Windows Experience

  • Experience with Relational databases (SQL, MySQL, MSSQL, NoSQL), web services (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, PHP) and cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services/AWS, Azure)

  • Experience in the fields of Geophysics, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Cartographic Science, Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS), Geospatial Analysis, GEOINT Fusion, Crowdsourcing, Human Geography, and Visual Analytics

  • Experience with Software Tools like Visual Studio, Clearcase, JIRA, Confluence, Git, CMake
