The Sr. IT Specialist must be a highly-motivated, self-driven team player that has the ability to perform in a fast-changing business environment.The Sr. IT Specialist is a hybrid between a techno-functional analyst and an IT business partner. The role is responsible for the support of all of our Training Centers & Services (TCS) applications and in limited fashion be responsible for local IT Infrastructure. The candidate will have experience collaborating with all levels of the organization to design and deliver solutions for the Training Centers that can support the needs of the business. The right candidate is both a team, player quickly building relationships across multiple business functions, as well as a self-motivated individual who can be the sole representative for IT at our Tampa, Florida facility.
The Sr. IT Specialist reports to the Sr. IT Manager, Business Systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as a member of the TRU Training Centers extended leadership team. In this function work with the TCS General Manger and his/her leadership team to document, design and implement solutions and processes that meet the business’s needs
Provide onsite hands on support of infrastructure and applications for the Tampa location
Manage infrastructure and application support for the remote training center locations
Project Management for various TCS Customer Experience initiatives
Collaborate with and lead IT developer resource domestically as well in India.
Utilize change control processes, document changes and support audits
Prioritize work with functional business representatives
Log issues reported and report progress until resolution is completed
Analyze processes, develop business requirements, document workflows and propose solutions as requested by the business
Identify optimizations in usage and business processes within IT
Coach and mentor users on best practices of the IT solutions
Occasionally provide off-hours support for critical production issues
Support multiple sites
Detail Design Documentation
Integrate the solutions with existing and new systems
Build and maintain customer satisfaction with IT processes
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field
Project Management Experience required
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Salesforce (or other CRM) experience preferred
Experience working with web and mobile-app programs preferred
Ideally worked on creative Customer Experience initiatives
IT Infrastructure Knowledge preferred
Application Development Knowledge preferred
A&D Experience preferred
Agile / LEAN methodology exposure preferred
Cross-functional support experience
Must be able to establish and maintain multiple priorities
Established ability to learn and contribute quickly
Results oriented and fact-based decision making
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple constituencies
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; possesses sound
