Position Summary

  • The Technical Writer will write, edit and revise documentation and presentation material in support of the Programs Office and Engineering departments for TRU Simulation Training.

  • Develop, modify, and maintain technical documentation and presentation materials for our Flight Simulators. Items include operation & maintenance manuals, qualification test guides, and acceptance test procedures.

  • Ensure all user documents comply with customer requirements including content, level of detail, and layout.

  • Develop, modify, and maintain graphics from engineering drawings, photos, etc.

  • Ability to work with configuration management team adhering to company standards and practices

  • Multi-task across several projects and requirements



  • Three of more years of related experience in Technical writing

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Computer Science, Technical Communications, or other writing/technical program is preferred. Experience can be considered in lieu of education

  • Experience working in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Aircraft knowledge is a plus

  • Experience with content management systems, email marketing tools, and web analytics tools

  • Ability to understand technical information and produce thorough step-by-step instructions for procedures as laid out by Engineering

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Creative thinker

  • Ability to work independently on a project or collaboratively as a team player and able to integrate with a diverse team with varying opinions and ideas

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
