SUMMARY: The individual in this position will lead the overall performance of the materials group under the guidance of the Materials Manager. The position will promote continuous improvement and lean materials processes for the TRF assembly lines and warehouses, while controlling inventory accuracy. This position encompasses the Material Leads, Receiving Team, Service Parts Picker, Dunnage Handler, and 2nd shift Receiving and Locating team. This person is responsible for adhering to processes and procedures set up to comply with Maude Fond, Arctic Cat, TSV, and any other policies required for operation standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Coach, Lead and Mentor the material lead supervisors

2.Promote a Safety first mentality

3.Ability to communicate, counsel, direct, and work effectively with others

4.Provide leadership to achieve all Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost goals

5.Assure Standard Work and QCC’s are being followed within area

6.Promote and implement Lean/Six Sigma methods within the area

7.Does labor and quality recording

8.Must have knowledge of Material Management Systems including bill of materials and Inventory Replenishment Systems

9. Excellent process knowledge.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1.Ability to lead, coach and mentor a large group. Minimum 3 years previous experience as a supervisor required

2.Excellent process knowledge of assembly and product requirements

3.Ability to communicate with all personnel. This would include verbal directions and counseling of assembly line workers as well as technical support areas

4.Strong knowledge of manufacturing system and equipment

5.Good mechanical skills necessary

6.Lean manufacturing background.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

1.Must have three years experience supervising people

2.High School diploma or GED required

3.Lean Manufacturing training preferred
