SUMMARY :Reporting to the Quality Manager, is responsible for final product conformance to specifications and regulations following a dynamic checklist based on customer needs. Audits performed are primarily visual or use specific audit practices. Documents and relays product conformance status to quality engineering, quality technicians and assembly leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Audit final product that is presented to Quality for final acceptance, looking for defects pertaining to cosmetics, safety, part presence, and operation.
2.Maintains audit check sheets by vin number in the quality FTQ (First Time Quality) network.
3.Reviews and tests product for accuracy and compliance as required by the engineering print/specification/standards.
4.Will communicate problems and non-conforming conditions to the responsible parties.
5.May be asked to perform other tasks or assignments, such as covering other technical positions with in the Quality department, as directed by the QA Director/Manager in addition to the general items noted above depending on department or company needs.
6.Internally audit processes and work instructions on the assembly line when required.
7. Participates on process improvement teams and teams formed to accomplish specific tasks relating to the Quality goals and objectives.
8.Lead or assist in investigation and containment when safety issues are found. 9.Pursue educational goals established by Quality Department.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must have good interpersonal skills and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1.Familiarity with proper safety policies, work instruction, procedures, and standards.
2.Ability to use / ability to learn tools, software and equipment necessary to complete tasks.
3.Ability to enter data into Microsoft Access (FTQ database) for tracking and communication of final product FTQ.
4.Must have a working knowledge of the Arctic Cat product design, development, purchasing, documentation, and inspection methods.
5.Ability to communicate findings to supervisory and managerial personnel.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1.American Society for Quality Certifications: Certified Quality Technician and/or Certified Quality Auditor is a plus.
2.Lean Sigma Green Belt Certification is a plus.
3.Demonstrated blue print and specification reading ability.
4. MS Office Suite (specifically Microsoft Access Data base data entry)
