Textron Buyer/Planner in Vista, California
The Buyer/Planner is responsible for the planning and buying activities related to the assigned product line. The Buyer/Planner will work closely with the Production Floor personnel, our internal customers, and external customers to obtain, understand and manage demand at the optimum level.
Plan production control schedule
Plan and procure all components for assigned product line
Review requisitions and release orders
Work exception reports to manage inventory and improve on-time delivery
Work with Production Supervisor to maximize throughput.
Work with external customer to meet all delivery needs.
Execute cost out projects.
Performs all tasks in accordance with Textron’s Business Conduct Guidelines.
Bachelor of Science degree inSupply Chain or related studies is required. Experience in planning, scheduling, and purchasing of materials is required Microsoft Office skills required include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Normally assigned to an office environment; may occasionally be required to be in the factory environment. May be required to occasionally lift 25 to 50 pounds. Uses computer frequently; interfaces with the other employees and outside visitors by telephone, mail, electronic mail, and/or in person. Is required to wear safety glasses within the factory environment.
