The Textron Aviation Pilot Development Program is designed to prepare pilots for entry into other Flight Departments at Textron Aviation such as Demonstration, Production Flight Test and Pro-Ownership by providingentry level pilots with growth opportunities through on-the-job and formal training, real world assignments that bring real value to the business, work experience in various functional areas of the organization. The result is developing piloting and customer experience skills while gaining a strong company foundation.
Piloting skills are developed through numerous flight opportunities which may include acting as a flight and ground instructor for customers transitioning to G1000 and G2000 flight decks and for customers in the Single Engine Recurrent Training course, exercise flights, flight shadowing, sales demonstration flights and marketing support.Development will continue through various projects such as assistance with revising current courses and development of future courses for avionics and airframe
Bachelor’s Degree required
Graduate from an aeronautical university with an aviation science degree is preferred
Minimum GPA Requirement: 3.0
· FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Land Certificate with instrument rating required
· Second Class medical or better required
· US Passport or ability to successfully obtain is required
· FAA Flight Instructor Certificate required
· FAA CFII required
· MEI preferred
· 500 flight hours and 200 hours of dual given preferred
· High performance endorsement preferred
· Previous classroom experience as a ground instructor preferred
· Familiarity with digital/glass flight decks preferred
This position is Wichita, KS based with some overnight and extended travel required, which may include international operations.
