LycomingEngines, Division of Textron, a precision aviation engine manufacturer, locatedin Williamsport, PA seeks multiple student interns to assist our R&DEngineering department during the 2019 summer.

The objective of Lycoming’s summer intern program is to assist students inapplying educational knowledge to real world applications in an effort toexpand overall learning and provide guidance in streamlining career choices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting projects

  • Research and analysis

  • Documenting solutions

  • Reporting on completed work

  • Evaluating overall ease of operations

  • Communicating with engineers, mentor, suppliers, and customers in regards tosystem operations

  • Each student will be assigned an engineering mentor and will be expected toreport on their work at the completion of their summer employment period

Qualifications

  • Student should be engaged in the pursuit of a B.S. or M.S. in an accreditedengineering or science program

  • Maintenance of an overall 3.0 (4.0 scale) or higher GPA

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, familiarity with PowerPoint andAccess

  • Familiarity with at least one programming language
